2012 Doctor’s Doctor Award
Howard Hoody, MD, received the Sanford Health 2012 Doctor’s Doctor Award, which was presented during the Physician Award Dinner at the Ramada Plaza Suites & Conference Center Hotel in Fargo, ND, in early November.
This award is presented to a practicing physician who exemplifies the values of the profession and is dedicated to the art and science of healing―a doctor who other doctors trust and turn to for knowledge, judgment, wisdom, honesty and support.
Dr. Hoody, began practicing Family Medicine in Bemidji during the late 70s. In nominating Dr. Hoody, a peer described him as “an icon in the history of health care in Bemidji. Yet, if you were to ask him, the most important role he has is that of a devoted husband and loving father, committed to his family and his community.” He has held many leadership positions at Sanford Bemidji and has been instrumental in the growth and development of what is now Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota.
