Sanford Welcomes Mateen Rahman, MD
 
Sanford Bemidji announces that Infectious Disease specialist Mateen Rahman, MD, recently joined Sanford Bemidji Main Clinic in the Internal Medicine Department.
 
Dr. Rahman received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Karachi University, Dow Medical College (Karachi, Pakistan). He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Catholic Health Systems, University of Buffalo (Buffalo, NY) and a 2-year Infectious Disease Clinical Fellowship at the University of Buffalo prior to moving to Bemidji.
 
Dr. Rahman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
 
“We are very excited to have Dr. Rahman join our patient care team at Sanford Bemidji,” said Dan DeKrey, Senior Executive Vice President at Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota. “Dr. Rahman’s addition will increase access to infectious disease services for patients in Bemidji and northern Minnesota.”
 
Sanford Infectious Disease specializes in treating infectious and immunological diseases caused by an infectious agent (bacteria, fungus, parasites or other rare infections). These conditions are often rare and complicated and may include respiratory infections, bone and joint infections, Tuberculosis and Meningitis. Our infectious disease specialists have expertise in identifying and treating infectious illness in adults and children and work together with other specialists to provide the latest in care.
