Sanford Welcomes Nur Jameel, MD
 
Drs. Jeffrey Watkins and Kris Anderson welcome Nur Jameel, MD, Interventional Cardiologist, who recently joined them in the Cardiology Department at Sanford Heart and Sanford Bemidji Main Clinic.
 
Dr. Jameel received a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from Aga Khan University Medical School (Pakistan) in 2002. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN) in 2006 and went on to complete a 4-year Cardiology Fellowship/Physician Scientist Pathway from the same university in 2011. In addition to completing the Cardiology Fellowship in 2011, Dr. Jameel received a PhD in Physiology and Integrative Biology from the University of Minnesota at the same time. He went on to complete a 1-year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota in 2012, prior to starting practice at Sanford Bemidji.
 
Dr. Jameel holds several board certifications, including being board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the areas of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and being certified by the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and the National Board of Echocardiography.
 
“We are very excited to have Dr. Jameel join our patient care team at Sanford Bemidji,” said Dan DeKrey, Senior Executive Vice President at Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota. “Dr. Jameel joins Drs. Jeffrey Watkins and Kris Anderson in the Cardiology department. The addition of Dr. Jameel will increase access to critical interventional cardiology services for patients in Bemidji and northern Minnesota.”
