Sanford Welcomes Jayan Nair, MD
 
Sanford Bemidji announces that Jayan Nair, MD, recently joined Mohamed Hussein, MD, at the Sanford Bemidji 1705 Clinic in the Hematology/Medical Oncology Department.
 
Dr. Nair is originally from India where he attended medical school and obtained his Doctorate in 1996 from the University of Kerala, Alapuzza, India. He completed three internal medicine residencies, the first in New Delhi, India, where he graduated in 2002, the second at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, graduating in 2006, and the third, at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, completed in 2009. June 2012, Dr. Nair completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Nair is married and has two young children.
 
“We are very excited to have Dr. Nair join our patient care team at Sanford Bemidji,” said Dan Olson, Chief Clinic Operations Officer at Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota. “Dr. Nair’s addition will increase access to cancer services for patients in Bemidji and northern Minnesota.”
 
At Sanford Bemidji, our hematology team specializes in studying, diagnosing and treating disorders of the blood, blood forming organs and blood diseases. Our hematologists also specialize in medical oncology (cancer) and provide the latest therapy and treatment services for patients affected by blood disorders and disease. In addition, our team consists of care coordinators for patients, providing education, monitoring care and working with patients to improve quality of life through healing therapy and in the management of pain and symptoms.
