Ways To Give
Here’s how you can be involved…
The Sanford Health Foundation of Northern Minnesota is made up of approximately 100 volunteers who recognize that a strong healthcare system depends on strong community relationships as well as philanthropic support. This support enables the creation of new facilities, upgrading of current facilities, and acquiring new technologies. There are several ways to contribute:
Recognizes community leaders who lend their individual or business financial support of $15,000 or more.
Recognizes individual donations of $10,000 or more as a single gift or cumulative over a lifetime. Members of this club have several opportunities to participate in special members-only events throughout the year.
This club recognizes business giving of $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000.
This club recognizes those who remember the Foundation in their will or estate plans with gifts such as stock, endowments, real estate, charitable gift annuities, or other future gifts. The minimum endowment is $10,000.
This club gives special recognition for contributions from Sanford employees to the Foundation.
The PETAL Program is made possible by generous donations from caring individuals. By making a gift to the Sanford Health Foundation of Northern Minnesota for the PETAL Program you play an important role in supporting families at an extremely difficult time in their lives, a time of healing after the loss of their baby.
Guardian Angel is a program that gives patients and their families the opportunity to acknowledge a staff member or a volunteer who they felt gave them exceptional care. The patient or family member can recognize the Sanford Guardian Angel by making a monetary gift of any amount.
The first time a staff member or volunteer is recognized as a Guardian Angel, he or she will receive a Guardian Angel lapel pin to wear proudly. For each additional recognition, he or she will receive a recognition card. On the tenth recognition, the associate or volunteer will be presented with a gold Guardian Angel pin.
Memorials & Honorary Gifts
A memorial or honorary gift is a special tribute to a loved one. Gifts to the Foundation may be made in honor of or in memory of someone special you hold dear.
WHERE YOU CAN HELP
The world of healthcare is fast-paced and constantly changing. Philanthropy helps plan for the future and keep up with the latest technology, facilities, and services. Your gift will be used to help meet the most immediate and critical needs of the organization.
Mimi Diffley Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Thanks to a generous gift from the Diffley family creating a lasting scholarship endowment, employees have the opportunity to apply for scholarships to help them further their education and advance their healthcare careers. The dollars of this fund are invested and the interest earned provides the resources to benefit our employees.
Moonbeams & Dreams
There is no life event as significant as bringing a child into the world. We are pleased to be a part of that moment. We are proud to provide an opportunity to preserve that special moment with Moonbeams & Dreams, a unique opportunity to honor a child.
By making a $50 gift or more, your special newborn will be recognized with his or her name, birth date, and optional photo displayed for a year on the Moonbeams & Dreams recognition board in the Family Care Center. Gifts can be made in honor or in memory of a little one.
Your gift also plays in important role in continually improving and enhancing services and equipment in the Family Care Center, in essence, creating a lasting legacy in your child’s name.
Each year Sanford Bemidji Hospice provides services to families in need of care and support. Donations to Sanford Bemidji Hospice help support hospice care for those who otherwise could not pay. They also support patient, family, and community education projects, as well as volunteer training and other programs that benefit the Bemidji region.
