Sanford Bemidji Hospice

Because there is no cure, does not mean there is no care. At Sanford Bemidji Hospice, we care. Often patients and families may feel alone after receiving distressing news about an illness. Hospice can help by providing care when there is no cure. Hospice care provides families with professional, sensitive attention from experts in end-of-life care, including:

  • Nursing
  • Spiritual assistance
  • Home health aide
  • Social worker
  • Therapists
  • Nutrition counseling
  • Volunteer support
  • Bereavement services

We pledge to work closely with the patient, family, and doctor to provide quality individual care whether the patient is at home, resides at a nursing facility, lives in a group home, or receives adult foster care.
Providing care and comfort that makes a difference, Sanford Bemidji Hospice has been serving the greater Bemidji area since 1982. As the only hospice agency serving the area we are privileged to have the opportunity to assist patients and families at this most sensitive and private time.
Serving a wide geographic area, we help adults as well as children and infants and their families cope with the advanced stages of several common conditions:

  • Dementia
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Kidney failure
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Cancer
  • And other serious illnesses

As a department of Sanford Health, we are fortunate to have the support of the Board of Directors and administrative staff. We are Medicare certified and licensed by the State of Minnesota.  We are surveyed on a regular basis by the Minnesota Department of Health to assure compliance with the federal and state regulations governing hospices.
