Friends of Sanford Health
Since 1922, the Friends of Sanford Health has been serving as a link between Sanford Bemidji Medical Center and the Bemidji community. We enhance service to patients by supporting Sanford staff, providing meaningful service opportunities to members of community, and increasing the community’s understanding of Sanford's goals and policies. Fundraising (hospital gift shop and lobby sales) on behalf of the Friends of Sanford Health has added thousands of dollars for building projects, healthcare scholarships, and much needed medical equipment.
The Friends of Sanford Health Board meets monthly on the second Tuesday. The primary responsibility of the Board is to disperse funds from the hospital Gift Shop and fundraisers to departments within the hospital for patient and visitor care.
The Friends of Sanford Health invites you to share in the growth of their organization that is dedicated to service on behalf of Sanford affiliates. You can share in the satisfaction derived from service through active membership.
Any active Sanford volunteer is a member of the Friends of Sanford Health. Anyone who is not an active volunteer can be a member for minimal annual dues.
Open to all men and women over the age of 14 – minimal annual dues entitle you to the benefits of being a Friends of Sanford Health member. For more information contact the Volunteer Coordinator at the hospital, (218) 333-5654 or firstname.lastname@example.org
